Clay modeling

Step into the enchanting world of clay during my clay workshop.

I warmly welcome you to my charming studio, located in a renovated barn with stunning views of nature, for an afternoon of clay crafting. Here, you'll discover everything about different types of clay and techniques, and learn how to create beautiful artworks with clay.

Other participants always mention the tranquility that pervades this workshop. Working with clay is relaxing, some say almost meditative.

We'll start by exploring the various types of clay and techniques, after which the participants will create their own masterpiece. This can be done using the pinch pot method or the slab technique. For participants experienced in pottery, the pottery wheel is available.

I'll guide you through each step of the process. Together, we'll work on shaping your creations and ensure that you bring out the best in yourself to create a unique piece.

After shaping your pieces, they'll be set aside to dry. Firing and glazing will take place a few weeks later. If you're no longer in the area, no worries. I'll take care of it for you, and you'll receive your finished masterpiece at home.

It's recommended to wear comfortable clothing suitable for artisanal work and sturdy shoes for this workshop. Also, make sure to keep your nails short and hair tied back. If possible, bring your own apron.

Just like with Raku ceramics, working with clay also carries a risk of breakage. However, this is part of the artisanal process, and I cannot be held responsible for it.
